SCM Group is once again pleased to join the Franciscan Mission Pia Opera Fratini to wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Since 1997 the Friars Minor in Congo-Brazzaville operate for the local population and children. Our help supports two of their major projects:
- two refuges for street children in Makabandilu, a suburb of the Brazzaville capital, which provide for their social integration through educational and professional training.
- a joinery workshop which contributes to a self-reliance project supported by the Friars Minor, by training the young adults in a joinery profession and then in starting up a business. The woodworking machinery, donated by SCM Group, is already in operation in the workshop and is used to manufacture doors, windows, furniture and tools much needed by the local population.
