October 18th and 19th SCM Group North America joined RT Machine Company for their Production Work Cell Show. The event drew customers from the Pennsylvania area to RT Machine Company's 80,000 sq ft facility. SCM showed the NEW SCMI Pratix CNC Nested Base Work Cell linked with an OMAL HBD 1300, CNC Bore and Dowel machine. The Pratix nested based cnc router with automatic load and unload can process an average of 75 sheets of material per shift depending on the nest. Couple this machine with an OMAL equipped with laser part identification and the SCMI K130 Edgebander, for a perfect cell for cabinet and millwork parts. Customers were also able to get a firsthand look at OMAL's "Sure Shot" revolver system that guarantees a dowel is inserted every time! With a cycle time of approximately ONE second for each bore, glue and dowel insertion when holes are on 32mm intervals, the OMAL HBD is one of the leading bore and dowel machines available on the market today. We also demonstrated SCMI sliding table saws, wide belt sanders and moulders giving us a broad product range for the customers to see.
